The Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament Festival of Tennis started today in Liverpool One and hundreds of children was introduced to tennis through a free tennis lesson organised by Northern Vision and its event team courtesy of Liverpool Hope University and our event sponsors.
Head coach Sam Jelloh worked very had though out the day with the kids who had never picked up a tennis racket prior to today. Anders Borg of Northern Vision says “its all about encouraging kids to pick up tennis at an early stage in life and get them to join their local club, tennis is a sport for life and the earlier kids start playing the more they will enjoy it. There is also a lot of eager and hungry kids in the region and who knows the next Andy Murray may come from Liverpool!”
The Festival will run throughout half term from 1200 to 1500 and we encourage anyone to come down to Liverpool One and check out the centre court and have a go at the greatest game on earth!
The Liverpool Hope University International tennis Tournament runs from the 16th to 19th of June and tickets are available from www.liverpooltennis.co.uk
