On the third and final day of the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2022 Dimitar Kuzmanov of Bulgaria completed a clean sweep of the Liverpool field beating Marcus Willis 6-4 6-7 12-10 to win the Mens Singles Trophy.
The match was incredibly tight with Willis coming back in the second set to force a final-set championship tie-break. In the tie-break Willis was unlucky not to capitalise on his advantage with Kuzmanov coming up with a couple of stunning passing shots to seal victory in just over 2hrs.
Next up on the court will see Qiang Wang of China taking on Nadia Podoroska of Argentina to battle it out for the Women’s title.
