Saturday was an absolute scorcher, not only with the action on centre court but also in the weather department. First up the Liverpool crowd were treated to the longest match ever in Liverpool International history with Zvonereva beating Cadantu 7-6, 6-7, 11-9 in just over 3 hours of play.
Gianessi won the second match and is now the only male player with a perfect record going into the final’s day on Sunday where he will meet Robert Kendrick in a title decider.
Later in the day, Bartoli will play her first singles match since deciding to abandon her come back against the so far undefeated Dentoni which promises to be an absolute cracker. Vera Zvonareva will also be in action taking part in a female doubles exhibition, completing her Wimbledon warm-up preparation on the Liverpool grass.
Local favourites Ken & Neal Skupski will finally close the tournament facing Robert Kendrick and Adam Jones.
The Box office is open from 10am at Liverpool Cricket Club with tickets still available on the day
